Ryan C.C. Duckett, Managing Senior Trial Counsel at Tajima LLP

Ryan C.C. Duckett brings a record of courtroom success and experience in complex commercial and employment litigation to his role as Managing Senior Trial Counsel at Tajima LLP. He represents companies, executives, entrepreneurs, and investors in litigation where business control, financial interests, and reputation are at stake.

Ryan handles complex commercial and employment litigation from early case assessment through discovery, dispositive motions, arbitration, and trial. His practice includes partnership and shareholder disputes, fiduciary-duty claims, business dissolutions, commercial contracts, intellectual property, entertainment, and employment matters.

His experience includes defeating a multimillion-dollar partnership claim following a three-week trial and recovering more than $1 million in attorneys’ fees. He has also represented established brands, privately held businesses, and high-net-worth individuals. His work as outside general counsel informs his approach to disputes: evaluating litigation decisions against the client’s broader business objectives.

Before joining Tajima LLP, Ryan practiced at Tesser | Grossman LLP, Stubbs Alderton & Markiles LLP, and Nixon Peabody LLP. He serves as Co-Chair of the California Lawyers Association’s Business Litigation Committee and was selected to Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list from 2017 through 2023.

Ryan earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Cornell University.
